The GTM Plays Attio integration turns every lead your LinkedIn agents find into a People record in your Attio workspace, with the buying signal and score in its description. It connects with an Attio access token, matches on email so records are not duplicated, and sends data one way, from GTM Plays to Attio.

What the integration does

Attio describes itself as the CRM for agentic revenue, a system for revenue teams to build pipeline (attio.com, checked October 2026). GTM Plays finds people on LinkedIn who show buying signals, scores their fit and runs outreach. This integration keeps your Attio People object current with those leads. See all integrations.

What syncs

Data flows one way, from GTM Plays to Attio.

GTM Plays field Attio People attribute
Work email email_addresses
Full name (with first and last) name
Job title job_title
LinkedIn profile URL linkedin
Headline, signal, GTM Plays score and reasons, LinkedIn URL description

Duplicates. When a lead has an email, GTM Plays uses Attio's assert endpoint matched on email address: it creates the person, or updates the existing person with that email. When there is no email, GTM Plays looks for a person with the same LinkedIn URL and skips the lead if one exists, otherwise it creates a new record.

When leads are sent

  • New leads, automatically. With "Automatically send new contacts" switched on (it is on by default), every new lead your agents find is sent as it arrives. Contacts you import into an agent count as new leads too.
  • One contact at a time. Open any contact's drawer and choose Send to… to send just that person, whether or not automatic sending is on.

Delivery runs in the background after the action that caused it, so finding or importing leads never waits on Attio. The result of the last delivery (time, status and any error) shows on the Attio card in Settings → Integrations.

How to set it up

  1. Create an integration in Attio. In Workspace settings → Developers, create a new integration, give it read-write access to records and copy the access token.
  2. Open GTM Plays. Go to Settings → Integrations → Attio.
  3. Paste the token and press Verify. GTM Plays checks that the token is active and shows your workspace name.
  4. Save and press Check connection. No test record is created.

Use cases

  • Lists and views on signals. Because the signal and score sit in the description, you can build Attio views that surface the most promising people.
  • Enrich in place. Re-sending a contact with Send to… updates the existing person matched by email, so a changed job title or a fresh signal reaches Attio.
  • Modern GTM stacks. Teams that run GTM engineering workflows in Attio get LinkedIn intent without a separate import step.
  • Founder-led teams. Keep a clean people database as you run signal-based selling.

Good to know

  • GTM Plays writes to the People object only. Companies, deals and lists are not created or changed.
  • Phone, company name and website are not sent to Attio today.
  • A person first created without an email is not merged later. If an email is found afterwards, re-sending matches on that email, so check for a second record.
  • Replies are not written to Attio; use Slack or a webhook if you want reply alerts.
  • GTM Plays does not book meetings by itself.

Security and data handling

  • Your Attio token is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before it is stored, used only on GTM Plays' servers, never sent back to your browser and never logged. Settings show only its last four characters.
  • Empty fields are left out of every request rather than sent as blanks, so GTM Plays never overwrites something you typed in Attio with an empty value.
  • You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations. Records already created in Attio stay there.

Troubleshooting

The integration card in Settings → Integrations shows the last delivery and the error message, if any. The common ones:

  • "The key was rejected (401)". The key was revoked, expired or mistyped. Paste a new one and press Verify.
  • "The key is missing a permission this needs (403)". Give the key the access listed in the setup steps, then verify again.
  • Rate limiting (429). The service asked GTM Plays to slow down. The current delivery stops and the message shows on the card; later leads go out with the next delivery.
  • "The service redirected the request". Usually the wrong account region or URL. GTM Plays never follows redirects with your key attached.
  • "This Attio token is not active". The integration was disabled or its token revoked in Attio. Create a new token and verify again.
  • Records without an email. GTM Plays creates them as new people unless a person with the same LinkedIn URL already exists, so add the LinkedIn attribute to your views to spot them.
