The best Apollo alternatives depend on why you are leaving. For a bigger enterprise database, teams look at ZoomInfo or Cognism. For data orchestration, Clay. For LinkedIn-first outreach that starts from buying signals, GTM Plays finds intent, scores fit against your ICP and writes and sends messages from your own account.

What Apollo does well

According to apollo.io, Apollo is an "AI GTM system" made up of three layers:

  • Data: 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts, waterfall enrichment and regular data refresh.
  • Intelligence: a unified profile of each contact and account, buying signals such as intent, job changes and website visits, and AI agents trained on your ICP.
  • Execution: a workspace for prospecting, outreach and dialing, "Apollo Anywhere" inside your CRM, Gmail and AI assistants, and 200+ integrations.

It also lists deliverability features (domain warming, inbox rotation, reputation monitoring), compliance tooling for GDPR, CAN-SPAM and DNC, and SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. For a team that wants one database and email engine, that is a strong package.

Why teams look for an Apollo alternative

  • Your buyers live on LinkedIn. Apollo is database- and email-led. If your best conversations start on LinkedIn, you may want a LinkedIn-first tool.
  • Lists are not timing. A big database tells you who exists. It does not, on its own, tell you who is paying attention right now. See our buying signals guide.
  • Too much platform. Some small teams only use a fraction of an all-in-one system.
  • Data coverage in your market. Coverage varies by region and segment, so test any database against your own target accounts.

Apollo pricing (as of Oct 2026)

Apollo publishes four plans on apollo.io/pricing: a Free plan, Basic at $49 a month, Professional at $99 a month on monthly billing, and Custom through its sales team. Apollo describes Basic as suited to individual sellers doing regular outbound, Professional to full-time reps who need higher credit limits, AI features, call recording and advanced CRM integrations, and Custom to teams needing SSO, advanced security and custom volumes.

Two details matter when you compare. First, data is metered with credits, so the real cost depends on how many contacts you reveal and enrich. Second, Apollo says all seats on an account must be on the same plan, so one power user can set the price for the whole team.

The best Apollo alternatives in detail

Here are eight alternatives, grouped from LinkedIn-first outreach to pure data. Every description and price comes from the vendor's own site, checked in October 2026.

GTM Plays

What it is: an AI agent for LinkedIn. It finds people showing intent signals, scores each one for fit against your ICP, writes a message for each person and sends it from your own LinkedIn account. Replies come into one inbox, where you take over. It does not book meetings by itself.

Pricing: Pro is $149 a month after a 7-day free trial, and each extra agent is $59 a month. Live Leads, a one-off extraction of a LinkedIn company page's followers or a post's engagers, is paid per lead with credits and is separate from Pro.

Best for: founders and small teams who want signal-led LinkedIn outreach without building workflows.

Integrations and exports: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Attio, folk, Breakcold, Instantly, Smartlead, SmartReach, HeyReach, Slack, Clay and Zapier, plus webhooks, a REST API and an MCP server. CSV export, and credits for email and phone enrichment. Live Leads exports in Clay, Instantly and Smartlead formats.

Limits: it is not a contact database to browse, and it has no built-in email sequencer or dialer; for email it connects to tools such as Instantly, Smartlead and SmartReach.

Valley

What it is: signal-led outbound that researches prospects, checks fit and drafts LinkedIn and email messages in your voice for review, according to joinvalley.co.

Pricing (as of Oct 2026, joinvalley.co/pricing): Starter is $199 per seat a month ($149 billed quarterly) and is LinkedIn only. Plus is $299 per seat a month and adds 1,000 emails a month and onboarding. Growth is $499 per seat a month and adds monthly credits. Scale is custom for five seats or more. The 7-day trial requires a payment method.

Best for: teams who want pre-built signal plays across LinkedIn and email.

Limits: one seat connects one LinkedIn account, and discovery and enrichment use credits.

HeyReach

What it is: LinkedIn outreach across many sender accounts, with rotation, a unified inbox, an API, webhooks and an MCP server, according to heyreach.io.

Pricing (as of Oct 2026, heyreach.io/pricing): Growth is $79 a month per sender. Agency is $999 a month for 25 senders, with white label included. Unlimited is $2,999 a month, capped at 300 senders under its fair-use policy. Quarterly and yearly billing are discounted.

Best for: solo users and teams who want simple, template-driven LinkedIn and email campaigns.

Limits: you build the lists and choose the sequences; it does not decide who is in market.

lemlist

What it is: a cold email platform with LinkedIn automation on its Multichannel plan, a 650M+ lead database, AI agents and email warm-up, according to lemlist.com.

Pricing (as of Oct 2026, lemlist.com/pricing): Email is $69 a month ($55 billed yearly). Multichannel is $109 a month ($87 billed yearly) and adds LinkedIn automation, a dialer and five senders per user. Enterprise is custom. Data and buying-signal add-ons are extra.

Best for: email-first teams who want LinkedIn as a second channel.

Limits: LinkedIn automation needs the higher plan.

Clay

What it is: a data orchestration platform that combines many data and AI vendors, with Claygent research agents, signals and an email sequencer, according to clay.com.

Pricing (as of Oct 2026, clay.com/pricing): a Free plan includes 500 actions and 100 data credits a month. Launch starts at $167 a month and Growth at $446 a month, with prices rising by action and data-credit volume. Enterprise is custom. There is a 14-day trial.

Limits: it supplies data, not outreach.

ZoomInfo

What it is: a go-to-market intelligence platform with 420M+ global contacts, 145M+ companies, buyer intent and website visitor data, according to zoominfo.com.

Pricing (as of Oct 2026, zoominfo.com/about/pricing): not published. ZoomInfo asks you to request a quote and says price depends on features, licences and credit usage.

Best for: larger teams that need deep contact and company data.

Limits: you need a sales conversation to see the price.

When GTM Plays is the better fit

GTM Plays is not a database. It is an AI SDR-style agent for LinkedIn:

  1. It finds people showing intent signals.
  2. It scores each one for fit against your ICP.
  3. It writes a message for each person and sends it from your own LinkedIn account.
  4. It brings replies into one inbox, where you take over.

It does not book meetings by itself. Pro is $149 a month after a 7-day free trial, and extra agents are $59 a month.

When Apollo is still the better fit

  • You run high-volume email and calling and need verified contact data.
  • You want one system for data, sequencing, dialing and CRM sync.
  • You need enterprise governance and security certifications.

Many teams run both: a database for email and phone, and a signal-led agent for LinkedIn. Learn more about intent data.

Migration checklist: switching from Apollo

  1. Export your data. Download contacts, accounts, sequences and activity history before your plan ends.
  2. List what you actually use. Database search, sequences, dialer, enrichment or signals. Most teams replace only two or three of these.
  3. Decide where contact data will come from. If you still need emails and phone numbers, pick a data tool first.
  4. Rebuild your best sequence, not all of them. Move the one or two sequences that produce replies.
  5. Reconnect your CRM and check field mapping on a small batch.
  6. Run both tools for two weeks and compare replies per hundred prospects.
  7. Cancel only after the new setup is producing conversations.
