Clay pricing in 2026: plans, actions, data credits and hidden costs

Clay pricing as of Oct 2026: Free, Launch, Growth and Enterprise plans, how actions and data credits add up, the costs people miss, and simpler options.

By the GTM Plays teamUpdated 5 min read

Clay pricing, as of Oct 2026, has four plans: Free, Launch from $167 a month, Growth from $446 a month, and custom Enterprise. Each paid price combines two allowances, actions and data credits, which you can scale separately. The headline prices assume annual billing; monthly billing costs more. A 14-day trial is available on paid plans.

This guide breaks down each plan as published on Clay's pricing page, how the two allowances add up, the costs teams miss and simpler options. For other tools, see our Clay alternatives page.

Annual billing saves around 10%, according to the page.

How the headline price is built

Clay shows actions and data credits as separate line items, each with its own slider.

Launch

  • Annual billing: actions start at $54 a month (180,000 a year) and data credits at $113 a month (30,000 a year). Together that is the $167 headline.
  • Monthly billing: actions start at $60 a month (15,000 a month) and data credits at $125 a month (2,500 a month), so the entry point is higher.

Growth

  • Annual billing: actions start at $185 a month (480,000 a year) and data credits at $261 a month (72,000 a year), which makes the $446 headline.
  • Monthly billing: actions start at $205 a month (40,000 a month) and data credits at $290 a month (6,000 a month).

Both allowances scale up in steps listed on the page, so a heavy user can pay well above the starting price.

What actions and data credits mean in practice

Clay prices two things: actions, the workflow steps your tables run, and data credits, used for data from Clay's providers. In practice:

  • Every row multiplies the cost. A table of 10,000 rows with five enrichment steps uses far more than a table of 1,000 rows with two steps.
  • Waterfalls add up. Trying several providers in turn improves coverage but can use more of your allowance per row.
  • Bring your own API key is supported on every plan, which can shift some data costs to your own provider accounts.
  • Test small first. Run a table on 50 rows, check usage in the credit reporting dashboard, then scale.

Rollover and top-ups

  • Rollover: Launch and Growth roll over up to one month's credits on monthly plans, or 15% of annual credits on annual plans. Free has none.
  • Top-ups: extra credits on Launch and Growth cost a 30% premium. Enterprise top-ups are priced by agreement.
  • Upfront credits: annual plans get all credits up front.

Which Clay plan fits which team

Free: learning and small tests

The Free plan is enough to learn Clay and prove a workflow. With 200 rows per table and 100 data credits a month, it suits experiments rather than production. Phone number enrichment is not included, so phone-led teams will need a paid plan to test properly.

Launch: a small team automating prospecting

Launch adds phone enrichment, unlimited search with Audiences, job change, company news and social listening signals, and the ability to send emails through Clay or a sequencing integration. It suits a founder or a small team running a few repeatable prospecting workflows.

Growth: CRM-based workflows

Growth is the plan Clay recommends for teams whose workflows run through the CRM. It adds CRM auto-sync and enrichment, data warehouse sync, HTTP API integrations, webhook-triggered signals, web intent signals and unlimited ad audiences. If you want Clay to keep your CRM enriched automatically, this is usually the starting point.

Enterprise: governance at scale

Enterprise adds single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, role-based access control, user groups with credit budgets, IP allowlists and a dedicated growth strategist. It suits larger organisations with security reviews and many builders.

Hidden costs to plan for

  • Monthly premium. The headline prices are for annual billing.
  • Top-up premium. Running out mid-cycle costs 30% more than planning ahead.
  • Feature gates. CRM integrations, HTTP API, data warehouse sync and web intent signals are listed on Growth, not Launch.
  • Bulk enrichment. Enriching more than 50,000 records at once is listed for Enterprise.
  • Your time. Clay is a builder. Someone has to design, test and maintain the tables, often a GTM engineer.
  • Sending tools. Many teams still pay for a separate sequencer or LinkedIn tool to act on the data.

How to estimate your Clay bill

  1. List your workflows and the steps in each.
  2. Estimate rows a month for each workflow.
  3. Run a 50-row test and note actions and data credits used.
  4. Multiply up to your monthly volume, and add a buffer for re-runs.
  5. Pick the plan whose features you need, then size each slider.
  6. Decide on billing. Annual is cheaper; monthly is more flexible.

Questions to answer before you buy

  • Which of our workflows need Growth features, such as CRM sync or the HTTP API?
  • How many rows will each workflow process a month, and how often will we re-run them?
  • Will we bring our own API keys for any data providers?
  • Who will build and maintain the tables, and how many hours a week will that take?
  • What will we use to act on the data: Clay's sequencer, another email tool or a LinkedIn tool?

If you cannot answer the last two questions, start on Free or Launch with monthly billing until you can.

Is Clay worth it?

Clay is powerful for teams who want custom enrichment, scoring and routing, and have the skills to build it. For teams that want a result without building, the time cost often matters more than the subscription.

Simpler or different options

All-in-one database

Apollo combines a contact database with sequencing and a dialer, with published per-plan prices. See Apollo pricing and Clay vs Apollo.

A packaged LinkedIn agent

GTM Plays is a ready-made agent rather than a builder. It finds people showing intent signals, scores each one for fit against your ICP, writes a message for each person and sends it from your own LinkedIn account. Replies arrive in one inbox; it does not book meetings by itself. It integrates with Clay, and its Live Leads exports come in Clay format as well as Instantly, Smartlead and CSV. Pro is $149 a month after a 7-day free trial.

The bottom line

Clay's starting prices are clear, but your real cost depends on rows, steps and data volume. Test on a small table, measure usage, and budget for the time it takes to build and maintain workflows.
