How to export LinkedIn company followers: native options and a step-by-step method

How to export LinkedIn company page followers: what LinkedIn's own admin tools give you, what they do not, and how to get a follower list as a CSV file.

To export LinkedIn company followers as a list of people, you need more than LinkedIn's built-in tools. Page admins can view their followers and download analytics, but not a file of named followers, and nobody can see another company's list. This guide covers the native options first, then a step-by-step method that produces a CSV.

We make GTM Plays, whose Live Leads feature is one of the methods below. We describe LinkedIn's own options first, using LinkedIn's help pages, so you can decide whether you need a tool at all.

What LinkedIn lets you do natively

LinkedIn gives Page admins two follower tools, both inside the Page admin view.

The All followers list

In Analytics, then Followers, admins can open All followers. According to LinkedIn Help, it shows your current Page followers with their current place of employment and when they followed, newest first, with separate views for people and for Pages. LinkedIn notes that follower totals are approximately rounded, and inactive accounts are not counted.

This list is useful for scrolling through recent followers. It is on-screen only; LinkedIn's help page does not describe a download for it.

The follower analytics export

From the same Analytics area, admins can click Export, choose a timeframe and download an XLS report. According to LinkedIn Help, reports cover visitors, content, followers and competitors. The follower report is analytics: new follower counts over time and breakdowns by location, job function, seniority, industry and company size. It does not contain names or profile URLs.

The Pages Data Portability API

LinkedIn also runs an API program that lets Page admins and their authorised developers access Page data. It needs developer access approved by LinkedIn, and members control whether Page owners can export their data, a setting LinkedIn describes in its help centre. It is a developer project, not a button.

Summary of native options

Option Who can use it What you get A named list?
All followers view Admins of that Page Followers, employer and follow date, on screen View only
Analytics export Admins of that Page XLS of counts and demographics No
Pages Data Portability API Approved developers with admin authorisation Page data, limited by member settings Depends on access and member settings

So if you want a spreadsheet of people, or the followers of a page you do not manage, LinkedIn's native tools will not give it to you.

Why export company page followers at all?

A company page's followers chose to follow a business in a particular market. That makes the list a light interest signal, much more focused than a cold database search. Three pages are usually worth exporting:

  • Your own page. Many followers already know your brand but have never filled in a form or talked to sales.
  • A competitor's page. Followers include the competitor's customers, prospects evaluating the category, and practitioners in the role you sell to. Our guide to competitor follower extraction covers how to choose which competitors.
  • Adjacent tools, communities and events. Pages whose audience matches your buyer, even if they sell something different.

A follow is not proof of buying intent. Treat the list as a well-chosen starting point, then filter it hard against your ICP.

How to export LinkedIn company followers with Live Leads: step by step

Live Leads is a one-off extraction from GTM Plays. You order the followers of one or more LinkedIn company pages and receive a file. It is separate from the GTM Plays Pro subscription and is paid per lead with credits.

Step 1: create an account

Sign up. New accounts get 100 free credits, enough for a small test order.

Step 2: paste the company page URLs

Paste one or more public LinkedIn company page URLs. It can be your own page, a competitor, a partner or any company whose audience fits your market.

Step 3: choose Standard or ICP-Filtered

  • Standard extracts all the page's followers and charges 1 credit per follower.
  • ICP-Filtered runs each follower through your criteria, such as job titles, seniority, company size, industry and location. You pay only for the followers who match, plus a flat 500-credit filter fee.

If only a slice of a large page fits your market, ICP-Filtered usually gives a cleaner list for fewer credits. If you want the full audience for research or your own segmentation, Standard is simpler.

Step 4: wait for delivery

Every order is a fresh extraction rather than cached data. Most orders complete within 2 to 6 hours depending on list size; orders under 5,000 followers typically finish in under 2 hours, and very large orders may take up to 12 hours. Progress shows on your dashboard, and you get an email when the order is ready.

Step 5: download the file

Each record includes full name, current job title, company name, LinkedIn headline, location, company website, industry, employee count and LinkedIn profile URL. Download it as CSV or Excel, or as a file already mapped to the Clay, Instantly or Smartlead import format. Verified work emails are available as an enrichment add-on, and a REST API can submit orders and download results if you want to automate it.

What a good follower export looks like

Check Why it matters
Current job titles Titles drive filtering and message angle
Company website and size Lets you match people to accounts in your CRM
LinkedIn profile URL The key you deduplicate and reach out on
No duplicates across pages People often follow several competitors
Fresh extraction date Followers change jobs; old lists decay

What to do with the list

  1. Filter again. Even an ICP-Filtered list benefits from a quick human pass to drop vendors, job seekers and students.
  2. Deduplicate against your CRM. Remove current customers and open deals, or route them to the account owner.
  3. Segment by role and page. Followers of a direct competitor need a different first message from followers of an adjacent tool.
  4. Lead with the problem, not the follow. Telling someone you found them on a competitor's page rarely helps.
  5. Start small. Message the best-fit 50 first, read the replies, then adjust before sending more.

Rules to respect

LinkedIn's User Agreement sets rules on automated access to its site, and data-protection laws such as the GDPR apply when you store and contact people in some regions. Read both before you build any list, keep only the fields you need, honour opt-outs promptly and keep outreach volumes human. A smaller, relevant list also gets better replies than a large untargeted one.

Follower exports vs other lead sources

  • Post engagers show more recent, topic-specific interest than follows. You can extract them the same way; see LinkedIn post engagers.
  • Database searches give breadth but no interest signal.
  • An always-on agent watches for new signals continuously instead of producing one list. That is what GTM Plays Pro does; Live Leads is the one-off option.

Many teams combine them: a follower export to start a campaign this week, and ongoing signals to keep the pipeline full.

Frequently asked questions

Can I export my LinkedIn company page followers from LinkedIn?

LinkedIn lets Page admins see an All followers list in Follower analytics and export Page analytics as an XLS file. According to LinkedIn Help, that export covers analytics such as follower counts and demographics, not a list of named followers.

Can I export another company's LinkedIn followers?

LinkedIn's own tools only show analytics for Pages you administer. To get a list of followers for another company page, such as a competitor, you need a third-party extraction service such as GTM Plays Live Leads.

What data comes with a Live Leads follower export?

Each record includes full name, current job title, company name, LinkedIn headline, location, company website, industry, employee count and LinkedIn profile URL. Email enrichment is available as an add-on.

How long does a follower export take with Live Leads?

Most orders complete within 2 to 6 hours depending on list size. Orders under 5,000 followers typically finish in under 2 hours, and very large orders may take up to 12 hours.

How much does it cost?

Live Leads is paid with credits, separate from the GTM Plays Pro plan. A Standard order costs 1 credit per follower. An ICP-Filtered order charges only for followers who match your filters, plus a flat 500-credit filter fee. New accounts get 100 free credits.
