Software: AI agent for signal-led LinkedIn outreach
The best lead generation companies in 2026 fall into two groups. Agencies such as Belkins, CIENCE, Callbox, Martal Group and SalesHive run outreach for you. Software such as Apollo, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Clay and GTM Plays helps your own team find and reach buyers. Choose by budget, time and who will do the work.
This guide compares ten options, five of each, with prices from each company's own site as of Oct 2026. GTM Plays is our product and is listed last; it is software, not an agency, and it does not book meetings by itself.
How we picked these companies
We started from the companies that appear most often in the current search results for "best lead generation companies", then checked each one on its own website on 24 Oct 2026. We kept companies that:
- sell B2B lead generation as a core service or product, not a side offer
- describe their channels and service model clearly on their own site
- either publish pricing or explain how it is quoted
Ratings from directories change often and are hard to verify, so we left them out. Where a company does not publish a price, we say so instead of guessing.
Agency or software: the first decision
| Agency | Software | |
|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | The agency's SDRs | Your team (helped by automation or AI) |
| Typical pricing | Monthly retainer, per-SDR fee or per-meeting | Per seat, per credit or flat monthly |
| Time to first results | Weeks of setup, then ongoing | Days, if someone runs it |
| What you keep when you stop | Depends on the contract | Your data, lists and process |
| Best for | Budget but no team | A team that wants control |
Our guide to lead generation services vs software covers this trade-off in more depth.

The 5 best lead generation agencies
Belkins (agency)
What it is: a B2B lead generation and appointment-setting agency. Its site lists omnichannel outreach across cold email, cold and intent calling, voicemail, SMS and WhatsApp, LinkedIn and paid advertising, plus lead research, ABM, deliverability consulting and outsourced SDRs (belkins.io).
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, belkins.io/pricing): monthly retainer packages built around your goals, markets and channels. No figures are published, so you get a quote on a call.
Best for: mid-market and larger B2B teams who want a full outbound programme run for them.
Watch out for: retainers are a monthly commitment, so agree in writing what counts as a qualified appointment before you start.
CIENCE (agency)
What it is: outsourced SDR teams for outbound, inbound and scaled programmes, with cold email, cold calling, appointment setting, research and ads services, run on its own graph8 platform (cience.com).
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, cience.com/pricing): published. A campaign team costs $2,000 a month and the graph8 platform $499 a month (75,000 credits included). SDRs start at $1,750 per SDR a month offshore, or $3,500 per SDR a month in the US and Europe. A performance bonus is paid when an SDR hits their held-meeting target, and setup is a one-time fee. CIENCE's own example, with five offshore SDRs, comes to $11,249 a month plus bonus.
Best for: teams who want transparent SDR pricing and the option to add or remove reps month to month.
Watch out for: the bonus formula adds cost when targets are hit, so model the total cost per held meeting before you sign.
Callbox (agency)
What it is: an outsourced B2B lead generation and appointment-setting provider founded in 2004. It runs multi-channel outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn and digital channels, and says it serves clients in 60+ countries (callboxinc.com).
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, callboxinc.com): custom. Callbox says price depends on campaign scope, target market and engagement model.
Best for: companies selling into several regions, including APAC, that want phone-led campaigns.
Watch out for: without a published price, ask for the full cost per campaign and the exact definition of a qualified lead.
Martal Group (agency)
What it is: a B2B lead generation and sales outsourcing agency that lists 200+ onshore sales executives and 15 years in business. Services include appointment setting, cold email, LinkedIn lead generation, cold calling and inbound lead qualification (martal.ca).
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, martal.ca): on request through a "Request Pricing" form; no figures are published.
Best for: tech and SaaS companies that want experienced reps, with the option of help further down the funnel.
Watch out for: confirm which services are included in the base fee and which cost extra (its site lists trade-show appointment setting as an extra-cost item).
SalesHive (agency)
What it is: a B2B sales development agency with US-based SDRs, a strategist and an AI platform, counting client meetings and accounts since 2016 (saleshive.com).
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, saleshive.com): one flat monthly fee covering your SDR team, strategist, AI platform, data and tools. The figure is quoted after a call.
Best for: mid-market teams who want US-based SDRs on a single monthly fee.
Watch out for: ask how many SDR hours your fee buys and how meetings are counted.

The 5 best lead generation software platforms
For a wider view of the software market, see our guide to B2B lead generation tools, and for the two biggest databases, Apollo vs ZoomInfo.
Apollo.io
What it is: an AI GTM system with a database of 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts, email sequencing, a dialer, buying signals and AI agents (apollo.io).
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, apollo.io/pricing): a Free plan, Basic at $49 a month and Professional at $99 a month on monthly billing, plus a Custom plan through sales. All seats on an account must be on the same plan.
Best for: small and mid-sized teams who want data and email sequencing in one self-serve tool.
Watch out for: it is database- and email-led rather than LinkedIn-first.
ZoomInfo
What it is: a go-to-market intelligence platform with 420M+ global contacts, 145M+ companies, buyer intent and website visitor data, according to zoominfo.com.
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, zoominfo.com/about/pricing): not published. ZoomInfo asks you to request a quote and says price depends on features, licences and credit usage.
Best for: larger teams that need deep contact and company data.
Limits: you need a sales conversation to see the price.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator
What it is: LinkedIn's own prospecting product, with advanced search filters, saved lists, and lead and account alerts, according to LinkedIn.
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, LinkedIn's compare-plans page): Core starts at US$119.99 a month or US$1,079.88 a year per license. Advanced starts at US$159.99 a month or US$1,799.88 a year per license. LinkedIn notes these are estimates and may exclude taxes.
Best for: reps who research and message accounts by hand.
Limits: it does not write or send outreach for you, and LinkedIn prohibits scraping it.
Clay
What it is: a data orchestration platform that combines many data and AI vendors, with Claygent research agents, signals and an email sequencer, according to clay.com.
Pricing (as of Oct 2026, clay.com/pricing): a Free plan includes 500 actions and 100 data credits a month. Launch starts at $167 a month and Growth at $446 a month, with prices rising by action and data-credit volume. Enterprise is custom. There is a 14-day trial.
Best for: GTM engineers who build custom enrichment and routing workflows.
Limits: it is a builder; someone has to design and maintain the tables.
GTM Plays
What it is: an AI agent for LinkedIn. It finds people showing intent signals, scores each one for fit against your ICP, writes a message for each person and sends it from your own LinkedIn account. Replies come into one inbox, where you take over. It does not book meetings by itself.
Pricing: Pro is $149 a month after a 7-day free trial, and each extra agent is $59 a month. Live Leads, a one-off extraction of a LinkedIn company page's followers or a post's engagers, is paid per lead with credits and is separate from Pro.
Best for: founders and small teams who want signal-led LinkedIn outreach without building workflows.
Integrations and exports: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Attio, folk, Breakcold, Instantly, Smartlead, SmartReach, HeyReach, Slack, Clay and Zapier, plus webhooks, a REST API and an MCP server. CSV export, and credits for email and phone enrichment. Live Leads exports in Clay, Instantly and Smartlead formats.
Limits: it is not a contact database to browse, and it has no built-in email sequencer or dialer; for email it connects to tools such as Instantly, Smartlead and SmartReach.
How to choose a lead generation company
- Write down your ideal customer first. Agencies and tools both perform better with a clear target. Our free ideal customer profile template helps.
- Decide who will run outreach. If nobody on your team has time, an agency is the realistic option. If someone does, software is usually cheaper and you keep control.
- Ask how success is measured. For agencies, get the definition of a qualified lead or held meeting in writing. For software, decide which metric you will track, such as replies or opportunities.
- Run a short pilot. Most agencies scope a first phase; most software has a free plan or trial. Judge on pipeline, not activity.
- Check what you keep. Ask who owns the domains, inboxes, data and LinkedIn accounts if you stop.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best lead generation company?
There is no single best one. Agencies such as Belkins, CIENCE and Callbox suit teams that want outreach done for them; software such as Apollo, ZoomInfo or GTM Plays suits teams that run outreach themselves.
How much does a lead generation company cost?
Agency prices are often quoted rather than published. CIENCE is one exception, with SDRs from $1,750 per SDR a month offshore plus a $2,000 campaign team and a $499 platform fee, as of Oct 2026. Software ranges from free plans to enterprise contracts.
Is a lead generation agency better than software?
An agency is better when you have budget but no time or team. Software is better when you have someone to run it and want to own the process and data.
Does GTM Plays book meetings?
No. GTM Plays finds intent signals, scores fit, and writes and sends LinkedIn messages from your own account. Replies arrive in one inbox, and you take the conversation from there.
